Common Issues
Quick solutions for frequently encountered problems.
Server Shows "Offline"
Symptoms: Dashboard shows server as offline, no recent heartbeat.
Solutions:
- Check agent is running:
systemctl status tergum-agent - Check agent logs:
journalctl -u tergum-agent -n 50 - Verify network connectivity to
app.tergum.ca - Restart agent:
systemctl restart tergum-agent
"Connection Refused" Errors
Symptoms: Agent can't reach Tergum API.
Solutions:
- Check DNS resolution:
nslookup app.tergum.ca - Test HTTPS connectivity:
curl -I https://app.tergum.ca/api/health - Check firewall allows outbound HTTPS (port 443)
Replication Not Starting
File Sync Stopped
Symptoms: File changes not appearing on slave.
Solutions:
- Check service:
systemctl status tergum-file-sync - View logs:
tail -f /var/log/tergum-file-sync.log - Restart service:
systemctl restart tergum-file-sync - Verify SSH connectivity to slave
Cloudflare Tunnel Issues
Symptoms: Tunnel shows unhealthy, failover won't work.
Solutions:
- Check cloudflared:
systemctl status cloudflared - Test tunnel:
cloudflared tunnel info - Re-authenticate if needed:
cloudflared tunnel login
